A three-month promotion temporarily eliminates fare surcharges on the Sorrento Valley COASTER Connection (SVCC) shuttle service. This means that COASTER customers transferring to the bus shuttle at the Sorrento Valley station can save up to $40 per month until December 31, 2009. Trains will run at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. from the Oceanside Transit Center. Tickets for $4 must be purchased beginning Monday, November 16 at 8 a.m. at 810 Mission Ave., Oceanside. Through December 31 you can win tickets to one of the best-known zoos in the world simply by buying a drink at a vending machine at any NCTD station. The San Diego Zoo is located in Balboa Park and is served by MTS Bus Route 7. To get there, take the COASTER south to Santa Fe Depot then take the Trolley, MTS bus route 2 or walk to Broadway & 3rd Ave. and catch bus 7 northbound.
