HOW TO RECEIVE AN NCTD REDUCED FARE I.D. CARD
If you are a person with a disability:

1)

Call or visit NCTD Customer Service at (760) 966-6500 to obtain an application.

2)

Have an authorized agency or qualified/certified health care professional complete their part of the form. (If you have a DMV placard I.D. card, VA letter that states you are 50% or more disabled or current SSI award letter, you only need to bring it with you.)

3)

Bring the completed form and picture ID to Customer Service at 810 Mission Avenue in Oceanside (weekdays, 8am-4:30pm) or the Escondido Transit Centers (weekdays, 7am-7pm).

Note: Please call 760-966-6500 or 967-2875 before coming and confirm we are able to take your photo and issue you a card. For example, Escondido Transit Center is not able to issue cards 3 business days before and after the first of the month.

When eligibility has been established, we will issue an NCTD Reduced Fare I.D. Card. These cards are initially free, but there is a fee for replacements. Show NCTD Reduced Fare I.D. Card to the driver as you board the bus and you will be entitled to pay the reduced cash fare. You may also use this card to purchase a Senior/Disabled/Medicare Regional Monthly Pass. Your card is also valid to purchase a COASTER Senior/Disabled/Medicare Monthly Pass.
