Fare Changes Effective October 1, 2026. The new fares will take effect in two phases.

On July 17, 2026, the San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG) Transportation Committee approved the transit fare changes proposed by the North County Transit – San Diego Railroad (NCTD) and San Diego Metropolitan Transit System (MTS).

The new fares will take effect in two phases. Phase I will be implemented on October 1, 2026 and Phase II on October 1, 2027.
