Oceanside, CA – The North County Transit District’s (NCTD) COASTER Holiday Express is coming back to town and, this year, it’ll be for TWO weekends! This popular annual event is a holiday tradition for many families offering a magical 65-minute round-trip train ride from Oceanside to Solana Beach where children of all ages are invited to visit with Santa Claus and his merry friends.
In past years, the event has sold out in as little as 20 minutes. To allow more space for everyone to join, NCTD has extended this event to Saturdays and Sundays, December 7-8 and December 14-15 with trains at 10 a.m., 12 p.m., and 2 p.m.
The COASTER Holiday Express departs rain or shine from the Oceanside Transit Center and takes passengers on a journey down the beautiful coastline riding on the festive holiday COASTER train. During the event, riders will sing along with the cheerful carolers, relay holiday wish lists to Santa Claus and his elves, and spend time with the lovely ice queen and snow princess.
“The absolute best part of this event every year is seeing the delight on the children’s faces as they take pictures with the princesses and visit with Santa. It’s truly priceless,” said Marketing and Communications Manager Kimy Wall.
Tickets go on sale Thursday, November 7, 2019 at 9 a.m. and are $20/person.
