Welcome to NCTD+

North County Transit District (NCTD) is committed to providing safe, reliable, accessible, and professional transportation services. As a part of that commitment, NCTD offers a variety of innovative first and last mile services.

Through NCTD+, a mobility-as-a-service program that partners with transportation network companies (TNCs) and other providers, transportation options are created for riders.

Discounted NCTD+ On-Demand Connections:  Uber, Lyft and TripShot
Through a pilot program with Uber, Lyft and TripShot, NCTD+ now offers discounted trips for the first and last miles of your SPRINTER or BREEZE trip within defined geographic zones near the Vista Transit Center, Melrose Drive Station and Civic Center Station.

For a limited time, discounted Uber and Lyft rides are available Monday through Friday (5:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.). Customers can book a discounted ride within their Uber or Lyft apps using a designated coupon code or link. Passengers with a mobility device will use the TripShot app for a ride.

What’s New

  • Greater flexibility to access your destination when you want.
  • Getting in early or leaving late? Early morning or late evening services are now available.
  • More access in the areas surrounding Vista Transit Center.
  • Get up to a $7.50 discount from NCTD!
  • *New Locations! Customers can now take advantage of the first and last mile services at the Melrose Drive and Civic Center Stations

How it Works

  • Take a qualified trip within a defined geographic zone that includes starting or ending at the Vista Transit Center or at the stations at Melrose Drive and Civic Center.
  • Book a ride through your Uber, Lyft or TripShot app using the discount code or link.
  • Pay the first $2.50 and receive a credit from NCTD for up to the next $7.50.
  • Using a mobility device? NCTD has you covered. Use the TripShot app to book a trip via an accessible vehicle. (See directions below.)
  • Restrictions may apply. See apps for details. Taxes and fees may apply

The Zones

To/from the Vista Transit Center, Melrose Drive Station and/or Civic Center Station: The Vista Zone covers 45.5 square miles including portions N Santa Fe Avenue and Taylor Street south to the courthouse and N Melrose Drive east to Coventry Road/Oak Drive.

IMPORTANT PILOT PROGRAM DETAILS

• To qualify for the discount, each trip taken must begin or end at Vista Transit Center, Melrose Drive Station and/or Civic Center Station and be within the defined NCTD+ zone.

• Customers taking qualifying trips will pay the first $2.50 of a trip, after which the $7.50 credit will be applied. If the fare is higher than $10, the passenger is responsible for the remaining balance.

• A trip cannot be taken outside of the zone in which it is started.

• Trips are limited to 50 per month.

• Wait times may vary based on availability.

• All child restraining laws apply to children riding in NCTD+ vehicles. It is the responsibility of the parent or guardian to comply with all prevailing regulations. Children under 6 years old weighing 40 pounds or less must ride in a child safety seat. The customer must provide the safety seat, secure the seat, and secure the child in the seat.
