Holiday Schedule & Extra Trains

NCTD will offer a holiday schedule for July 4. Extra trains will get you to and from fireworks shows on July 3 & 4!

Wednesday, July 3

SPRINTER

SPRINTER will run on a weekday schedule on July 3. Additional service will include one extra 9:33 p.m. westbound departure and one extra eastbound 9:33 p.m. departure.

For riders attending the Oceanside Fireworks Show near Rancho Del Oro station, the extra westbound trip departs at 10:13 p.m. and the extra eastbound will leave at 9:42 p.m. from that station.

Thursday, July 4

SPRINTER

SPRINTER will operate on a Saturday schedule. The last westbound departure will leave Escondido Transit Center at 10:33 p.m. and the last eastbound departure will leave Oceanside Transit Center at 11:33 p.m.

The Saturday SPRINTER schedule will provide sufficient late-night coverage for fireworks shows along the corridor.

BREEZE

BREEZE will operate on a Saturday Schedule.  Additional service will be provided for customers who attend the July 4 fireworks at the San Diego County Fairgrounds.  With additional westbound departures from Escondido Transit Center at 8:03 p.m. and 10:03 p.m. and eastbound departures from Plaza Street & Highway 101 at 9:09 p.m. and 11:09 p.m.

COASTER

COASTER will operate on a Saturday schedule. Additional service will be provided for riders who attend the Big Bay Boom and the Del Mar fireworks show.

For customers attending the Big Bay Boom event, the 9:20 p.m. (C687) train departing from Santa Fe Depot will hold temporarily with an absolute departure of 10 minutes past the scheduled departure to accommodate attendees.

Related Events

The City of Oceanside hosts its annual fireworks show on July 3 to coincide with the City’s anniversary. The fireworks show is hosted at Oceanside SoCal Sports Complex near the Rancho Del Oro SPRINTER station. The fireworks show starts at 9 p.m.

The Del Mar Fair will have a special firework show on July 4. The Del Mar Fair will be open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Wednesday, July 4.
