NCTD Celebrates Transit Equity Day By Offering Free Rides

Tuesday, February 4 – “Transit Equity Day”

Oceanside, CA – The North County Transit District (NCTD, The District) is participating in the nationwide Transit Equity Day by offering FREE rides on all modes today, February 4, 2025. Transit Equity Day commemorates the birthday of civil rights pioneer Rosa Parks and honors her courageous efforts in the fight for equality in public transit.

Riders can use all NCTD modes – COASTER, BREEZE, SPRINTER, FLEX, NCTD+ and LIFT – free of charge for the entire day on February 4, 2025. For those traveling within the San Marcos microtransit zone, customers can use promo code: ROSAPARKS in the NCTD+ app for free rides.

Free rides on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, apply to all NCTD modes of transportation only and are not applicable to transfers to Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) or AMTRAK services.
