New On-Demand Transportation Service Launches in San Marcos

NCTD+ provides connections to transit and affordable rides around town

What: 
North County Transit District is launching a new on-demand transit service that provides rides within a service zone in the City of San Marcos. This is the first of four North County areas that will receive this new on-demand service over the coming years during a pilot program. NCTD+ service starts in San Marcos on Monday, June 10.

NCTD+ lets you schedule a ride to appointments, the store, school, work, the park or wherever they need to go within a 10 square mile zone in San Marcos. The brightly wrapped vans will pick up passengers and bring them to their destination. Rides are only $5 one-way and just $2.50 for additional people in your party, or if you ride to/from a SPRINTER station.

It’s easy to use. Download the NCTD+ app, book a trip and ride! Residents are being offered their first ride (up to 8 people) free with a FREERIDE promo code.
