RIDE COASTER TO THE ROCK ‘N’ ROLL MARATHON

Early Sunday morning train will deliver runners to start line on time

Oceanside, CA – With more than 20,000 runners expected at the start line of this year’s Rock ‘n Roll Marathon, the North County Transit District has teamed up with race coordinators to provide a special early morning COASTER train to get them there on time.

Bringing the fun to the run since 1998, the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon kicks off at 6:15 a.m. in Balboa Park this Sunday, June 5. The marathon COASTER train will leave Oceanside Transit Center at 4:16 a.m. and arrive at Santa Fe Depot by 5:17 a.m. with six stops in between. Free parking is available for transit riders at all COASTER stations.

COASTER Regional Day Passes are also available for purchase at NCTD vending machines on COASTER platforms. NCTD staff also will be helping runners purchase COASTER tickets at the marathon Health and Fitness Expo on Friday and Saturday in the San Diego Convention Center.
