Proposed Weekend Standardization

North County Transit – San Diego Railroad (NCTD) is seeking feedback regarding NCTD’s proposal to standardize weekend service as part of its service change that will take effect on February 8, 2026.

To better align weekend service with ridership patterns and create a more consistent network, NCTD proposes to add Sunday service to BREEZE Routes 304 and 318 and eliminate Saturday service on BREEZE Routes 325 and 347. Riders currently served by Route 325 would continue to be served by BREEZE Route 315, while riders on Route 347 would continue to be served by NCTD+ San Marcos.

The proposed weekend standardization includes adding Sunday service to BREEZE Routes 304 and 318 (below in green) and the elimination of Saturday service for BREEZE Routes 325 and 347 (below in purple). Riders currently served by Route 325 would continue to be served by BREEZE Route 315 (in blue), while riders on Route 347 would continue to be served by NCTD+ San Marcos (in blue).

• Give comments for our public hearing no later than 5 p.m. on November 19 to servicechanges@nctd.org, or in writing at NCTD, ATTN: Director of Service Planning, 810 Mission Ave. Oceanside, CA 92054 . Please be sure to add “Weekend Standardization” in the subject line.  For those who wish to provide comments via telephone, please call (760)435-7274 and leave a message.

NCTD staff will be at Carlsbad Village Station and Palomar College Transit Center to solicit feedback and provide information on the proposed eliminations and how to provide public comment.

The public may provide comments in-person at the following dates/times:

Palomar College Transit Center

10 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Carlsbad Village Station

2 p.m. – 4 p.m.

NCTD Chief of Staff presents on the proposed service change at the regular Board of Directors meeting on September 18, 2025.
