The pass can also be loaded on an existing PRONTO card at all NCTD ticket vending machines or NCTD customer service offices. You must have an existing PRONTO card or purchase one for $2.00. The COASTER 5-Pack or COASTER 10-Pack should be on a separate physical PRONTO card or virtual card in the PRONTO mobile app.
Where can I travel with a COASTER 5-Pack or COASTER 10-Pack?
All around San Diego County! The COASTER 5-Packs and COASTER 10-Packs are valid on COASTER, SPRINTER, BREEZE, FLEX, MTS Bus, MTS Trolley, MTS Rapid, and MTS Rapid Express. NCTD LIFT service and Amtrak Rail 2 Rail are excluded.
Can I load a COASTER 5-Pack or COASTER 10-Pack onto my existing PRONTO card with other passes or stored value?
The COASTER 5-Pack or COASTER 10-Pack should be purchased on a separate physical PRONTO card or virtual card in the PRONTO mobile app. If a COASTER 5-Pack or COASTER 10-Pack is loaded on a card, whether virtual or physical, with other passes or stored value, the 5-Pack or 10-Pack days will be used first. No refunds or exchanges are allowed and all sales are final.
Do I have to use my COASTER 5-Pack or COASTER 10-Pack on consecutive days?
No, with COASTER 5-Pack and COASTER 10-Pack you can ride ANY individual 5 or 10 days within the validity period. The validity period for the COASTER 5-Pack is 30 days from the date of purchase and for the COASTER 10-Pack it is 60 days from the date of purchase. All unused days remaining at the time of expiration will expire and refunds are not allowed.
Can multiple riders use a COASTER 5-Pack or COASTER 10-Pack?
No. The COASTER 5-Pack and COASTER 10-Pack are for individual riders and cannot be used for multiple riders. Each individual rider must have their own fare to ride and cannot share rides through a COASTER 5-Pack or COASTER 10-Pack.
Do I need to tap a validator with a COASTER 5-Pack or COASTER 10-Pack?
Yes! Always tap a validator when you get on and off the COASTER and when using any of the other services available through the COASTER 5-Pack and COASTER 10-Pack.
How do I know how many days I have left on my COASTER 5-Pack or COASTER 10-Pack?
On the first tap of each day, the PRONTO validator will display the number of day passes left, including that day. To know how many days left on your COASTER 5-Pack or COASTER 10-Pack, check your account history in your PRONTO mobile app or visit RidePRONTO.com and login into your account. What happens if I do not use all my COASTER 5-Pack or COASTER 10-Pack days by the end of the validity period?
COASTER 5-Packs and COASTER 10-Packs give you the flexibility to ride when you want within the validity period. However, all days must be used within the validity period. COASTER 5-Packs are valid for 30 days from the date of purchase. COASTER 10-Packs are valid for 60 days from the date of purchase. No refunds or exchanges are allowed and all sales are final.

Are discounted fares available for the COASTER 5-Pack and COASTER 10-Pack?
Yes. Seniors, people with disabilities, and Medicare recipient (SDM) discounts are available for eligible customers with SDM cards. Youth riders can currently ride NCTD and MTS transit services free with the SANDAG Youth Opportunity Pass in a youth PRONTO app or card.
