The new COASTER Connection (CC) is coming soon!

The North County Transit District (NCTD) will be operating new service to provide first-last mile connections for COASTER passengers who disembark at the Sorrento Valley COASTER Station.

The routes will include:

• *NEW* NCTD 471 serving Hologic, Dexcom, Google and business parks on Flanders Dr

• NCTD 472 serving Sorrento Mesa and Vista Sorrento Parkway

• NCTD 473 serving Carroll Canyon and include Morehouse Dr

• NCTD 478 serving Torrey Pines

• NCTD 479 servicing UC San Diego, University City and La Jolla Village Dr

Service will start Monday, June 10, 2024!

Connect with the COASTER Connection at:

  • West platform – Routes 471, 472, 473
  • East platform – Routes 478, 479

Route Deviations

CC services can provide a deviation of up to 3/4 of a mile off of the route for requesting paratransit passengers traveling to or from the Sorrento Valley COASTER Station during the corresponding hours that the CC service operates. CC route deviations are only provided in areas where ADA complementary paratransit service is not available on MTS Access or NCTD LIFT. Please call (760) 726-1111 for more information.

Fares

COASTER Connection Fares:

  • Unlimited trips included with a COASTER Regional Monthly pass, a COASTER Regional Day pass and COASTER 5-Packs and 10-Packs
  • One-way COASTER tickets are permitted a free transfer to COASTER Connection within 2 hours of first tap or scan
  • Round-trip COASTER tickets are permitted free transfers to COASTER Connection on their outbound and inbound trip
  • Don’t have a pass? One-way fare is $5

The COASTER Connection is a FLEX service.

To purchase fares, download the PRONTO mobile app, use the ticket vending machines or visit the NCTD Customer Service locations. COASTER Connection service starts June 10, 2024.

COASTER Connection shuttle services will be provided during weekday peak periods.

COASTER Connection routes 471, 472, 473, 478 and 479 do not operate on weekends or on the observation of the following holidays: New Year’s Eve, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
