Solana Beach Morning COASTER 636 to Begin Early Departure

schedules

Solana Beach, CA—The North County Transit District is alerting early morning passengers in Solana Beach that beginning Monday, February 13, southbound COASTER 636 may depart up to five minutes earlier than the scheduled departure. COASTER 636 is currently scheduled to depart Solana Beach at 6:55 a.m. each weekday morning, but may depart as early as 6:50 a.m. when the train arrives early.

Passengers on COASTER 636 have experienced delays due to a meet with another train along a single-track segment. This change in departure comes as an attempt to support the on-time arrival of the train at Santa Fe Depot in Downtown San Diego. A permanent change to address this issue will be released in April with the updated COASTER schedule.

No other COASTER trains are affected by this change at this or any other station. In order to facilitate this mid-schedule adjustment, information about the change will be made available online, on the COASTER, and at the station platform. Passengers who work with or know others who take COASTER 636 from Solana Beach are encouraged to share this information with them.
