Things You Need to Know

  • You are required to complete the Pre-Employment Requirements Learning Path in the Learning Management System (LMS)
  • The total estimated completion time is approximately 5.5 hours. We recommend setting aside adequate time to complete each section.
  • Access begins on June 9, 2025.
  • The deadline for completion is June 23, 2025.

 

How to Log In

  1. You will receive an email notification from Genius SIS to the email address you provided on your NCTD application.
  2. This email will include:
    1. Your login credentials
    2. A direct link to access the LMS
  3. Click the link and select the Single Sign-On (SSO) login button.
  4. You will be required to authenticate yourself.
    1. Use your NCTD email address and password as provided in the notification.
  5. Once logged in, your assigned courses appear in your Learner Dashboard.
  6. Review the How to Access the Learning Management System handouts to begin completing your required courses.

 

Additional Onboarding Requirements

1. Payroll Self-Service (PASS)

You’ll use PASS to complete your onboarding checklist, which includes:

  • Benefits enrollment (Beginning June 11 )
  • Tax elections
  • Direct deposit setup
  • And more

    Login information for PASS will be sent out by June 11, 2025.

2. Benefit Enrollment

  • Effective Date: July 1, 2025
  • Deadline to Enroll: June 23, 2025

    Failure to enroll by this date will result in a break in coverage.

    Benefit resources, including specific rates for your union group, are attached to this email.

3. I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification

The Form I-9 is required to verify your employment eligibility.

  • Deadline: June 23, 2025
  • What to Bring:
    • Unexpired identification documents (refer to Page 2 of the I-9 form for acceptable documents).
  • Where to Submit:
    • In person at HR Open Office Hours (details below)

4. Attachments

 

HR Appointments are available now. While walk-ins are welcomed, appointments will get priority.

NCTD Human Resources will be onsite to answer questions and help support you through your Transition Closeout Session.
