Santa Visits the SOLD-OUT Holiday Express Train!

And encourages guests to bring food items to help those in need

What:
Thousands of guests will experience the magic of the season on the COASTER Holiday Express which departs from the Oceanside Transit Center and travels down to Solana Beach and back during two special weekends this December. Holiday Express trains depart at 10:15 a.m.,12:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m. on December 3, 4, 10 and 11.

The sell-out crowd will enjoy Santa Claus, carolers and holiday characters who will come through the train cars to perform and hand out gifts and wish lists to children. More than 9,500 guests are expected over the two weekends, including some Camp Pendleton Marines and their families who were provided complimentary tickets.

New this year, guests are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to donate to the North County Food Bank to help the nearly 1.1 million people in the county who face nutrition insecurity. In addition, there will be live musical performances on the train platform on Dec 4, 10 and 11 by the La Costa Canyon High School brass and woodwind quintets, as well as from the San Elijo Middle School jazz band.
