Service Change Effective Sunday, February 22

North County Transit – San Diego Railroad’s (NCTD) next service change will take place on Sunday, February 22, 2026.

This service change includes schedule adjustments, route eliminations, routing updates and weekend standardization across the BREEZE and FLEX network.

COASTER Connection

FLEX Routes 471, 472 and 478 will be eliminated as part of the February 22, 2026, service change as these routes did not meet performance standards set forth in NCTD’s Service Design Guidelines.

These routes currently operate peak-only bus service connecting from Sorrento Valley COASTER Station. FLEX 471 connects to Sorrento Valley East via Mira Mesa Blvd and Camino Santa Fe, FLEX Route 472 connects to Sorrento Mesa via Pacific Center Blvd and Barnes Canyon and FLEX Route 478 connects to Torrey Pines via Genesee Ave.

The last day of service for FLEX Routes 471, 472 and 478 will be Friday, February 20, 2026.

Elimination of 323 and Reroutes of 311, 313, and 325

BREEZE Route 323 will be eliminated as part of the February 22, 2026, service change due to low ridership and failure to meet performance standards set forth in NCTD’s Service Design Guidelines.

BREEZE Routes 311, 313 and 325 will be rerouted with this service change. These routing changes are intended to continue service to key destinations previously served by Route 323, including Walmart and El Camino High School, and add new service to the DMV.

The last day of service for BREEZE 323 will be Friday, February 20, 2026.

Weekend Standardization

Weekend service will be standardized on select BREEZE routes as part of the February 22, 2026, service change to better align service with ridership patterns and create a more consistent network.

Sunday service will be added to BREEZE Routes 304 and 318 (green in the maps below). Saturday service will be removed from BREEZE Routes 325 and 347 (purple in the maps below).

Riders currently served by Route 325 will continue to have weekend coverage through select BREEZE 315 trips (315W – in orange below), which will deviate to serve south Carlsbad village along former 325 routing on both Saturday and Sunday. Riders currently served by Route 347 will continue to be served by NCTD+ San Marcos.
