Additional COASTER Service for Padres Fans

Ride Transit to All Home Games this Season

Oceanside, CA – Baseball season is in full swing! North County Transit – San Diego Railroad (NCTD) is bringing back additional COASTER service with up to 52 additional trips to accommodate the 2026 San Diego Padres season.

The COASTER is a convenient and safe way to travel to and from Petco Park on game day. Padres fans can avoid parking hassles, skip traffic, and enjoy a stress-free ride with coastal views. With reliable service and multiple departure times, the Friar Faithful can easily plan their game day travel on the COASTER.

“For NCTD, the game day experience begins the moment you step onto one of our COASTER platforms,” said NCTD Board Chair and Carlsbad Mayor Pro Tempore Priya Bhat-Patel. “The COASTER is the best way to get to Padres games, and with extra service, we’re making it as easy as possible for the Friar Faithful to get to Petco Park and back home.”

NCTD is committed to providing robust transit options to San Diego’s premier leisure and recreational destinations. Throughout Padres season, NCTD will offer additional COASTER service to cover all your bases after the game. NCTD’s COASTER 699 train will depart from Santa Fe Depot one hour after the game, fireworks show, or special event.

Parking is free at most COASTER stations, and fans can transfer for free to the San Diego Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) Trolley with the purchase of a COASTER Regional Pass. As a reminder for fans, alcohol consumption is not allowed on COASTER trains.
