New Padres COASTER Wrap Train Unveiled: Reminder for North County Residents to Hit a Gameday Transportation Homerun

With high gas prices and costly parking, transit is the way to go to the game

What:
With the Padres in the race for first place, and dozens of sellout crowds expected this baseball season, including this Friday night against the Phillies, NCTD and the Padres are unveiling a new COASTER wrap. The newly wrapped COASTER train, featuring key Padres players, is to remind residents of the ease of taking transit to/from home games. Transportation on gameday has never been so easy.

NCTD offers extra service on the trip home from most games. This added service, denoted as a 699 train on the COASTER posted schedule, leaves one hour after the last out, or following fireworks shows.

For baseball fans who go to multiple games, they can save up to 50% off a COASTER regional day pass, with the purchase of a 5-Pack or 10-Pack. This makes taking transit a winning combination.
